I dreamt last night. It was possibly one of my creepiest dreams…
In the beginning, I was in a slightly crowded room with the people I knew from the UK. I think we were waiting for a meal as I sat idly on a couch, until I discovered the head of a horse, which was rather heavy, lay resting in my lap. Somehow it didn’t freak me out that this living creature was just the head and nothing else; the people around me were also all “aww-ish” that the horse picked me out of everyone else. The horse closed its eyes and there were suddenly scenes of a couple of horses trotting happily down a grass track, but the vision came to an end as the meal was ready.
We stood around a round table waiting to be seated, but people kept on taking the seats that I wanted to sit. I gave up and as I looked to a corner, I saw a girl slurping up all my mushrooms in the dish with chicken and mushroom that I reserved for myself earlier (huh?).
The dream jumped here and I was window shopping with my family. We wandered around until we were slightly lost amongst the packed shops that looked all so similar. I recognised one shop name (which, the first time I saw was normal, but now horizontally inverted as I was looking through the back of the glass) and assured my family that I knew the direction. We went down a flight of narrow stairs and saw a suspicious-looking ticket collector collecting movie tickets at the end of the staircase next to an opened door. I excused ourselves telling him that we weren’t for the movie and were just walking past.
We had to walk up the stairs again for some unknown reasons. I overheard a woman talking to the ticket collector about having to get to the 9th floor from the 10th as I walked very cautiously watching my steps — the steps were made of… shiny copper pipes stuck together. Mum was behind me and I told her to be careful. Dad and Bro didn’t seem to have any problem walking on those stairs and were way ahead of me.
I opened the door as I reached the top floor, and was shocked to find myself deserted on a small, fenceless, empty roof of a building right next to the sea; or on the sea, even. The sky was clouded, I couldn’t hear the ambient noise of the shopping mall any more and my family were nowhere to be found. I saw a white ladder leading straight down to the sea in front of me…
And my mother woke me up. Never been so glad to be awakened…

I know how you feel. I usually don’t have bed dreams, but every once in a while I have one that is really unsettling.
I found your blog on BlogEplosion.
Take care

I’ve had some wierd dreams before, but that dream was really tripped out. It’s rare I’d have such vivid recollection of such dreams. I think it’s because your mom woke you up in the middle of a REM cycle that you were able to recall the dream in such vivid detail. It probably would have been better if she had let you sleep a little because dreams rarely go to memory.
