Zho lost her eye to a Black Moa while saving some pansy named Nehdukah, and had since developed a fear of the bird and all birds in general. Plagued by nightmares for years, she decided to tame the very beast in an attempt to overcome the fear, and ended up bringing up her own Black Moa chick and gradually recovered from the memories of the horrid accident.

I don’t recall any particular incident with any particular insect that caused my rather severe phobia of all and any insects. Now, maybe if I get a beetle for a pet, and maybe a caterpillar, and a grasshopper, and a moth, and a butterfly, and a scorpion, and a spider, and a cockroach, and a bee, and…

You know what? Never mind.

Yes, I like to speak of game NPCs like some real-life friends. </loser>

Forget about Lineage II, Guild Wars is my new opium. The online game I’ve been playing since 8 months ago, where anybody from most parts of the world could play on the same server without crazy lag; where there’s no monthly subscription fee or silly grinding; where level, armour and weapon is genuinely not everything… Aren’t you convinced to join us yet? :P

2 days till the release of the next campaign; and hence I present you the obligatory mega screenshot-heavy gaming entry of Guild Wars (some screenshots may require previous experience of the game for full appreciation). rawr (read more…)

This happens daily. Everything I do, I procrastinate — even in things I truly enjoy. Blogging, entries don’t get posted until 10 years later. Games, important missions come last. University assignments…

16 hours before the assignment was due, that’s roughly about 1608 hours after I was given the topic, I finally knew what they were actually asking for. Then on, everything else was pretty much a blur. I remembered reading a lot of e-journals, drinking a lot of coffee, peeing a lot, watching the clock, giving moronic replies on MSN (and I shouldn’t even be online); but whatever else happened, I was on my way to Uni 2 hours before the assignment was due. 38 hours without sleep and counting, I wasn’t even sure if I popped my essay into the right collection box, or accidentally wrote my name as Vickie Diablos.

I went back home. No rest, too much caffeine in the system; unable to contain my excitement any more, I let out the most orgasmic squeal of the century.

If the landlady who lives next door somehow didn’t hear my other orgasmic noises, I’m sure she would have heard this version now.

Oh, who cares? Naomi (my character in Guild Wars), ’til death do us part!

But Devona is love.

Oh but if it’s a shopping blog entry of yours truly, it’d be chock-full of geeky goodness! (And funny how I sneered at the “it’d be cool if there were more images in the blog” comment from a person who didn’t read a single word, and now 3 consecutive entries with images, huh.)

I’m not a blogger who likes to blog about the latest trends or hits; but when it’s a movie based on a video game — a video game I’ve played and enjoyed for years at that — nothing could silent me. Hehe, pardon my bad pun.

Silent Hill the movie wasn’t released in Hong Kong until the day before, so naturally I went to the movies with Bro first thing after work that night. We actually made it on time for it (and even had time to be subjected to the torture of slimming product ads before it started), seeing how we didn’t usually get to see the first 10-15 minutes of other films. My first impression of the movie actually had nothing to do with the production itself. Just look at this.

What the hell is up with the Chinese title, “鬼魅山房”? The direct translation of Silent Hill wasn’t powerful enough, so they justify themselves in making up a name that isn’t accurate to the movie or the game, huh? Well, Bro and I already mocked at it enough, so let’s move on to the movie.
