Dear Ruth

I had two dreams last night…

We were running away from a group of people, each carrying a thick, heavy mat that at the time seemed very important. We kept on running, and as we ran past a tree, the mat slipped my grip. Suddenly a woman who was hiding on the tree fell off and the man was trying to pull her back up… we’re obviously avoiding the same people.

I couldn’t help the couple as the group chasing us was already around the corner. I picked up my mat and kept running until we reached a narrow door. The mats were too big to fit. I turned back in desperation and realised that the couple followed us.

The mob caught up and cornered us. I saw a man with a gun so I shielded you with my body. I heard one man whispering about shooting in the wall to scare us. He fired, but the bullet caught my left arm instead.

I didn’t care because I was with you again…

I was having a lesson in a classroom, but somehow you were right beside me the whole time. Suddenly someone burst into the classroom and yelled something. He lifted his shotgun and shot me in the stomach. I blacked out.

The next thing I realised I was in the operation theatre. The doctors were trying to save me. They did something to my heart, which I didn’t understand, as I thought I was shot somewhere else.

When I opened my eyes again, I was lying on a hospital bed. I gathered my strength and sat up. I looked everywhere for you, but you were nowhere to be found.

Where were you?

Where are you?

As of always, proper entry under the dream.

In the beginning of the dream there were eight giant, inflated, different-coloured snakes racing on a track. The dark blue one was leading in lane 7. The race went on, and the leading snake started to lag behind. Suddenly I was controlling the white (or yellow) snake in lane 6. As the track turned, I cut across to lane 1 and sped up, winning the race. Somebody complained about me afterwards but I told them it’s right to do so in the last lap.

I carried the deflated snake as I walked along a crowded corridor, on my way to see Wan and Cindy. Some classmates came up to congratulate me. I kept on walking until I heard Helen’s voice; she was obviously talking to Wan. I walked past them, turned right into a room where Cindy was writing her paper diary. I chatted to her for a bit.

The weird thing about this dream is… everything seemed to be very much horizontally inverted, like a mirror image…

On a completely different note; you know what’s funny?

I have a really strong feeling that my mother still thought I was kidding after all that.

We’re looking at our old pictures the other day, and she suddenly talked about marriage. Something about when I get married, I’ll blah blah blah. Sorry, that’s all I remember. But yes, that was funny.

Don’t forget she used the word ‘when’, not ‘if’.

Of course she could be talking about me getting married to a girl, but it’s highly unlikely thinking that she’s disgusted by it. And if she’s talking about straight marriage, *sigh* when will she ever accept the fact?

Maybe she was confused because I do like some men, but being a lesbian doesn’t necessarily mean you have to hate all the opposite sex, now do you?

Oh and by the way, I might be very feminine (and beautiful and sexy according to some of you, heh), but I’m definitely not pretending to be a lesbian to please guys.

So piss off.

Dreams… (and proper entry under them)

I dreamt that I was back in the UK again (I never forget that place, you see). I was packing to go back to Hong Kong, but the taxi to the airport had already arrived. I hadn’t finished packing so the taxi driver decided to drive around to charge me more… (probably because of yesterday’s incident). Suddenly I was packing in my old secondary school at 3:34 p.m.. My plane was at 3:36 p.m. - I obviously wouldn’t make it. I was still hurrying but couldn’t decide on which make-up to take as my bags were already full. The cleaning lady walked into the classroom…

And then another one. There are an old woman, Chiba Mamoru from SailorMoon, another woman, another man, and Lara Croft (the game character, not Angelina Jolie).

All of the people mentioned above were in a weird, green, dark, wet, yucky cave or something, and were forced to stay by the old woman. Lara went and pressed a button on the wall and an oven sprang open. The old woman gave her evils and took the four, five rolls of bread out from it. The people sat down and ate. The old woman told the boys that they had to wear a cape and they seemed to have expected it. Chiba Mamoru wore a white cape over a green cape over a red cape…

The second dream is just too weird…

My mother is currently obsessed with rearranging our baby pictures. By ‘our’ I mean my younger brother who’s 17 and me (18). It’s quite fun, actually, to look at all the older pictures.

1980s - bad fashion style, bad hair, everybody was fat
1990s - bad fashion style, bad hair, everybody was fat
2000s - looking back in ten years time: bad fashion style, bad hair, everybody was fat…

Gosh yes, all the skeletons in Hong Kong will be considered fat. FAT?! Guess what? I’m about 54kg and 1.63m tall, BMI = 20ish. Healthy, right? And guess what, I’m the biggest girl of the same age you can find here! I know I’m healthy (and pretty buff), but when I tell Hong Kong people my weight, they’d say, “Hmph, no offence, but I think you’re a bit on the overweight side.”

Dreams Update

Didn’t sleep the night before so I fell asleep really early last night. No, I’m not torturing myself, just trying to get used to the time difference. I had a 16-hour sleep last night. WOW! Two dreams as well!

Dream #1

I think I’ve had this dream a couple of times before; I dreamt that I was with my friend Diane (not WITH, just with).

I was lost in a rural area in Hong Kong, walking around and around trying to get back home. There were a few of my other friends but they didn’t seem to care. I saw sunset, then immediately remembered that home was somewhere in that direction (huh?), so I decided to follow the sun. I walked along a long countryside road…

Suddenly I was eating something with Diane. She had problems with her right elbow and her butler (?) told her to do some sort of operation. The operation had to be carried out under water at 600 Pa (Pascal, also Nm-2, Physicists), so Diane had to eat under water. I was told that she had to do that for the rest of her life. Later I was munching on a piece of biscuit on dry land. Diane saw me and was very jealous.

Funny dream, ay? Hmm… no idea why I would dream of Diane. We haven’t seen each other for two years. Okay, next one.

Dream #2

I dreamt that I was back in Burgess Hill, England again. :(

I was at school when I witnessed the nurse being attacked by a zombie. I walked away and went back to the boarding house as if nothing happened. I met Lydia, one of my English classmates, along the way. We chatted a bit and she followed me back. I remember looking down at my legs and saw myself wearing a pair of brown trousers, and I was faking a left-leg injury (?). I went back but nobody in the boarding house knew what happened, so everybody was calm. I went in a room where a lot of people were in.

A group of people burst in. The head man pointed a gun at me, and my reaction was to draw my gun (out of nowhere). We’re pointing at each other, but nobody in the room had any reaction. I sighed a little and said, “Duck, people, duck.” Still nobody did anything. I repeated in Cantonese and the people ducked.

The intruders knew what happened at the nurse and asked why I didn’t do anything. They knew I had a gun and I could easily have saved the nurse. I didn’t say anything, because I realised at that moment that it’s my mission to have the nurse killed, and a zombie happened to be there. Woohoo, I’m the secret agent again!

Suddenly I was sitting at the edge of a bed, where a little blond girl was talking to a woman. The woman told the girl she had to go to bed at 8 p.m., and the girl pouted.

… Who’s that girl?

Which One am I?

Despite saying all that yesterday, I still think it’s nice to help people. So satisfying! I helped people with their diaries, just waiting for them to put the correct html codes up! =)

Wow! After the whole exam-intensive week of little sleep, I finally had a 14-hour sleep last night (got up at 5 p.m. this afternoon  ). So many dreams as well! I’ll put them together so it’s like one dream.

At first I dreamt that I was the secret agent I’ve been a couple of times in my other dreams. I was in a forest carrying a heavy submachine gun that I could barely hold up. Suddenly, dinosaurs of all sizes appeared and surrounded me. I didn’t hesitate to shoot. After the danger was cleared, I found myself on a bridge, waiting to go somewhere with my friends.

I was still the agent, but the background changed to a prison-like place. It’s a huge room with grey walls and a lot of beds around. I knew I was there to look for a woman and I found her in the far left-hand corner. She was quite thin and looked very poorly. She was laying on a bed but oddly, the other way round: head where the legs should be. I talked to her for a bit, and when I left, I noticed that she drew two red hearts beside my name on a piece of paper.

Something must have happened and the other agents told me to evacuate the place. The bedbound woman offered to share the safest vehicle with me. I was flattered but didn’t want anybody to spot her affection for me (yeah, right).

And I became myself again. I was with my family in a crowded place waiting to get on a cruiser or something. There was a long, long queue but by the time I got there I found my father already lined up in the middle. I praised him for his speed and he was obviously happy about it.

All of a sudden I was reading a manga with myself in it. In the comic, it was snowing and four dark shadows appeared in front of me. They were three guys and a girl. All the guys were in suits but one had spikey hair and one, although without glasses, looked rather nerdy (couldn’t see the third). The girl had long dark hair. In spite of the weather, she was wearing a short dress. I watched as the snow gathered on her shoulder, not realising that she was talking to me. She noticed the distraction, smiled a little, then leaned forward and kissed me on my lips! She muttered something that I was meant to be able to hear but I just couldn’t hear a thing.

Yup, pretty ladies with long dark hair; they’re everywhere in my dreams. I’ve also dreamt of being that agent so many times that sometimes I wonder, maybe she’s the real me. Maybe the one who’s typing this diary entry was just a girl I often dream of? Maybe I’m actually asleep now and when I’m sleeping I was actually awake? Maybe… maybe all this was just an illusion?

Going crazy. What’s the point of dreaming anyway? They were fun most of the time but your brain wouldn’t have as much rest.

Oh, my brother just said I sounded like “The Matrix”; but I haven’t even seen it. :O
