Narcissistic Autobiography

And now in pseudo-paragraph form: I’m a hopeless gamer; a butch-at-heart, unromantic, forever-alone pansexual (used to identify as predominant lesbian, but a person’s sex and gender mean less and less to me as I get older); a pro-sex and pro-choice feminist; an atheist who was forced into Catholicism when she was young; a realistic optimist who is frequently mistaken for a pessimist; a laid-back procrastinator who literally procrastinates over everything; and generally an underachieving nerd and whinger who loves to use, misuse and abuse run-on sentences, semi-colons and wordplay. My blog entries reflect exactly the thoughts that go through my mind, although I tend to make myself sound a lot more interesting and popular than my real-life taciturn, introverted and socially awkward self.

I have a younger brother whom I consider to be my best friend forever and ever. I have PTSD from my childhood. I have an inconvenient anxiety of making phone calls among my other social issues, which is often misunderstood as an excuse to avoid obligations. I don’t care about fashion, media (outside games), celebrities or gossip. Instead of watching the news, you’re more likely to find me reading about the latest game release or downloading porn. Oops, hehe.

All-Time Favourite Games

Yes, some women game. No, there’s nothing special about me. I won’t pretend that there aren’t women or girls who make a big deal or expect special treatment out of it, but not all of us want that special attention. So, please, keep your misogynist “jokes” and backhanded compliments to yourself.

*cough* Anyway. My favourite genre is action-adventure. I also like survival horror, co-op shooters, RTS, some (MMO)RPGs (but generally not JRPG or turn-based) and brain games. I used to suffer from motion sickness, but I somehow got over it and am catching up on playing some of the popular FPS titles now.

And now, a list of my favourite games listed in alphabetical order.

All-time favourite series: Assassin’s Creed, Silent Hill, Tenchu, Tomb Raider
Other games or series I greatly enjoyed: Biohazard (aka Resident Evil), Command & Conquer, Dragon Age, Left 4 Dead 2, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, The Sims, Tokimeki Memorial 2, Tropico 4
MMOs I’ve played beyond a few days: Forsaken World, Glitch, Guild Wars, Lineage II, World of Warcraft
